On November 2, 2021, in the arms of his incredible wife and 6 loving children, Warren Robert Tingey Osborn peacefully and valiantly completed his nearly 4-year fight with ALS and entered the kingdom of his Eternal Father.

Warren Osborn was born on November 24,1964 in Brigham City, Utah to Evelyn Ward and Robert T Osborn. After an unexpected devastating accident, Warren lost his father before reaching his first birthday. His mother Evelyn found love again, and Warren was affectionately raised his entire life by Robert Tingey.

Despite the early tragedy, Warren’s childhood could best be described as idyllic. Surrounded by his 7 brothers and sisters, and with the beautiful backdrop of peach, cherry, and apple orchards. Warren learned the value of hard work and a commitment to the things that matter most in life. He earned his Eagle Scout at 13. Warren was involved in many high school sports from football to track and had a longstanding record in the high jump.

Even at an early age, Warren displayed a gift for innovation that would serve him so well in his illustrious, very successful, varied career. He was quick to challenge and improve upon norms in ways that others would not have thought of or recognized. It was in these early years that Warren established his “work hard, play hard” approach to life that so many knew him by.

Warren was 17 years old when an angel from North Ogden walked into his local church building and changed his life forever. Tricia Rose Breitweiser instantly stole Warren’s heart, a fact that he was always eager to share, even with his dying breaths. Of all of his successes and achievements on this earth, there was none greater to Warren than winning the heart of Tricia. She lovingly stood by his side with fierce loyalty through the highest highs and lowest lows that his truly remarkable life had to offer.

Warren served a successful mission in Taichung, Taiwan, working diligently to master the language that he would use during his time in Taiwan, but also throughout his professional career. After initially struggling with Mandarin, Warren set his mind to read through the entire Book of Mormon in Chinese. Upon completion, he set a mission speed record for the reading.

Tricia was there to greet Warren after he returned with honor from his full time mission. They were sealed for time and for all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on December 6th, 1985.

Due to the financial challenges of a premature baby, Warren briefly put college at Brigham Young University on hold in order to start a business to support his wife and new baby boy. Later, he returned, graduating from BYU with a BA in Chinese, with a Minor in Business. He went on to earn his MBA from Duke University.

Warren had an incredibly brilliant and intelligent mind, He was an avid entrepreneur, founding and successfully running 11 companies, including Osborn Video, Osborn Companies, Seastone, Luvaire, Braven, and Suvius. He loved the excitement, creative fulfillment, and adventure inherent in entrepreneurial efforts. His enthusiasm for creation was infectious, and was an inspiration to leaders in many fields. Throughout his prolific career, he brought dozens of products to market, totaling hundreds of millions of units sold throughout the world. He found tremendous satisfaction in improving on the status quo and introducing new, exciting features to products he worked so hard to develop. He also invested in hundreds of companies and served on multiple boards.

Warren was larger than life, passionate, exceptional, magnificent, and with a heart to match. He liberally gave of his time, talents and means to people near and far. He brought surgeons to China to help orphan children with physical malformations. He spent time in India helping in leper colonies. He counseled young entrepreneurs, raised funds for ALS research, and gave generously to many. The effects of his generosity were, in many cases, both life-saving and life-changing.

He devoted significant time serving in the church as a leader in ward Young Men’s, a member of multiple Bishoprics, a Bishop, and in a Stake Presidency. Frequently, these responsibilities allowed him to serve BYU students, which allowed him to share his vibrant and passionate soul with those just getting their start as adults.

Warren’s passionate nature drove him to continually pick up (and often master) new hobbies and share them with those he loved. He played thousands of rounds of chess with his son Skyler, played thousands of hours of billiards and ping-pong with his younger sons Matthew and Christopher, took trips to heli-ski and golf with his friends, brought friends to surf at Lake Powell, and more. He frequently attended BYU athletics and Jazz games. He was known to those close to him as someone who was always running from place to place, and from task to task, always eager to jump to whatever excitement he had planned next.

He met people where they were and bettered them, always lifting. He never saw himself as better than anyone. He loved not just exposing himself to all of the richness that life had to offer, but also bringing those experiences to others that would not have otherwise had the opportunity. He visited 110 countries in all.

Warren’s number one passion and devotion in life was his family, whom he loved fiercely. He loved and doted on his wife, his children, and his grandchildren, who he was convinced were, “The cutest grandkids in North America.” He loved his family more than life itself.

Warren was preceded in death by his father, Robert Osborn, and his brother, Daniel Tingey.

Warren is survived by his wife Tricia, children and son/daughter-in-laws Skyler & Chelsea Osborn, Chelsie & Jordan Troxel, Madelyne & Jordan McKee, Christopher & Rachel Osborn, Lauren & Jackson Call, and Matthew Osborn—his mother and father, Evelyn & Robert Tingey, in-laws Jim & Rose Breitweiser, Lisa Burgess, siblings Doug & Joleen Tingey, Diane & Kendall Geiger, Alisa & Kent Lund, Janiece & Brent Painter, Mel & Kelli Tingey, and Bobbi Jo & Dan Buck. He loved his 9 beautiful grandchildren James, Emmeline, Lucy, William, Oliver, Henry, Timothy, Rosie, and Amelia.
