The Warner family lost the greatest wife and mother God created when Tamara (Jeannie) Atwood Warner passed away on Wednesday, Aug 18, surrounded by her husband of 35 years and her three children.
We tearfully said goodbye but we feel peace knowing she is no longer suffering. She is now reunited with her mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in-law, several close friends, and other relatives.
The only way our family has been able to handle this devastating loss has been from the countless people who have been praying for our family. We firmly believe that you have made a difference and are filled with gratitude for the tremendous outpouring of love from our neighbors, family, and friends.
Jeannie was the epicenter of our family, so losing her at the age of 54 will continue to cause aftershocks for years to come. Our family will now join hands with so many others who have lost loved ones far too early.
Jeannie was born on January 25, 1967 in Price, Utah to Orvel and Ulanda Atwood. She attended Springville High School and met her husband Neil when they worked together at Pizza Hut in Spring. After she graduated from Springville High School she married Neil. They had three children whom she adored and devoted her time to raising.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in the church throughout her life. She worked for the Utah Department of Child and Family Services, helping and serving hundreds of families with their adoptions.
Jeannie found joy in making others around her happy, and gave countless hours of service to family and friends. Her influence in her family and friends lives’ has been on display as hundreds of people have expressed the impact she had on their lives. She was a light for so many.
Her favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family. Jeannie and Neil enjoyed taking trips and attending concerts together. She cherished each of her children and made sure every accomplishment, birthday, and holiday was celebrated to the fullest. She loved being a ‘Mema’ and thoroughly spoiled her grandchildren through her time, gifts, and love.
Jeannie loved playing games and laughing. She had a magnetic personality that people gravitated to. It didn't matter if you knew her for five minutes or five years, she had a way of making everyone she interacted with a better person. She was an exceptional cook and loved to make others happy by cooking their favorite foods. She was affectionately referred to as ‘Momma Warner’ by the friends of her children because she was a mother to so many. She had unwavering faith in God and his greatness.
She is survived by her husband Neil, son Aaron and daughters McKinsey and Samantha. She was the grandmother of Chloe (Ruby) Jane Holbrook, Nora (Emmy) Scout Holbrook, and Tate Keith Warner our little GTO. Her brothers, Gaylon, Elwin, Terry, Randy, Bryan, Lynn, and Deloy Atwood, and sisters Sheila Koss and Pam Jones.
The power of love, normally like distant stars, is magnified by the telescope of goodbye.
