Ruth and her identical twin sister Rachael were miracles –\nthey were very premature, so their survival with no long-term health complications was a\nblessing that shocked their doctors. She graduated from Madison High School\nand attended BYU-Idaho before leaving home at the age of nineteen to serve a full-time mission\nin the Korea Seoul South Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from\nJanuary 2013 to July 2014. Ruth was close with all her family, but inseparable from her identical\ntwin sister Rachael, so serving a mission in a distant country was a great act of faith, growth, and\ncourage for her.\n\nFollowing her mission, Ruth graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Brigham\nYoung University in Dec 2018. She loved the arts and literature, especially poetry.\n\nOn August 3, 2019, Ruth married Samuel Ray Lund in the Provo City Center Temple. Ruth and Sam made their home in Vineyard, Utah County, Utah, where they enjoyed\nactivities and games with friends and gathered frequently with family. Ruth also loved staying\nconnected to her mission country, eating and cooking Korean food and maintaining her language\nskills by watching Korean dramas. She enjoyed drawing and doing family history work and\nserving in the temple. Above all, Ruth had a great love and abiding testimony of the gospel of\nJesus Christ.\n\nRuth is survived by her husband Sam, his parents, Mark and Barbara Lund; Sam’s sisters Ellen\n(Scott Henneman), Audrey (Eric Ursic) and Andrea (Ryan Teague), ten nieces and nephews,\nSam’s grandmother Toy Lund, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.\n\nOf her Sexton family, she was preceded in death by her oldest brother, Zephaniah, who died in\ninfancy.
