Rowena Pestana Obituary (1918 - 2017)

Obituary for Rowena Rose Pestana (Farr) Rowena Rose Pestana passed away Sunday January 22, in her 98th year after suffering a stroke three days earlier. She is survived by her two children Raymond Pestana and Cheryl Chandler, four grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren. Rowena was born May 19, 1918 in Garden City Kansas to her parents Jesse and Alice Farr. She married George Conart Pestana August 16, 1936 in Santa Cruz California. Rowena loved the Lord and helped her husband with his ministry for the Nazarene church. Rowena was a talented organist and played for several churches. Rowena was one of the oldest converts to join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on December 4, 2016. She will be greatly missed by all.
