Ross Critchfield

Ross Arthur Critchfield Sr. passed away on Monday, November 8th, at his home surrounded by family. Ross dealt with renal issues for many years, always with an upbeat attitude. He was born in a log home in Oakley, Idaho to George and Melba Critchfield on April 26th, 1939. Ross was the fourth of eleven children. He graduated from Oakley High School and later served a 2-year mission in England. In 1961, he married his sweetheart, Berneil Robinson, in the Salt Lake Temple. He earned a bachelor's degree at BYU in Agronomy. He worked for US Steel, U&I Sugar, BYU, and then the State of Utah. His interest in ranching and farming led him to look for opportunities to incorporate these things into his life.

He enjoyed working in the temple, genealogy, coin collecting, gardening, and time spent with his family and siblings.

He is survived by Berneil Critchfield (Wife) and 6 children: Ross A Jr. and Lisa Critchfield (Salem)
Vickie and Ryan Moss (Mapleton), Randy and Jamie Critchfield (Elberta),
Roger and Gina Critchfield (Salem), Roy and Linda Critchfield (Springville),
Valerie and Jason Willden (Las Vegas), 27 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
His siblings: Willa Hurd Van Hulton (Plain City), Gale Critchfield (Salem), Jay Critchfield (Orem,) Boyd Critchfield (Taylorsville), Joan Reese Brew (Greenville NC), Clara Jensen (Price,) Reta Woodworth (Kaysville), Klea Lundgreen (American Fork).
Ross was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren, Ross Anthony Critchfield and Marissa Critchfield, his parents, George and Melba Critchfield, and siblings, Lawrence Critchfield and Earline English.

A viewing will be held morning of November 15 from 9:30 am - 10:45 am at the Knoll Park Chapel, 160 South 460 West Salem Utah, followed by funeral services at 11:00 am.
Interment will be in the Salem City Cemetery, 965 South 140 East Salem, Utah under the direction of the Nelson Family Mortuary.
