Obituary for Merien L Robins Dr. Merien Lamon Robins, a pediatric dentist, graduated from this life on February 23, 2017, at his home in Orem, UT. Born October 9, 1932, in Delta, UT, to Kenith Rand Robins and Florence Cropper Robins. Merien was a well-known and a respected dentist in the community. He served faithfully in his various church callings over the years as a former Bishop at BYU, as well as in scouting to name a few. He graduated from Brigham Young University as well as University of California in San Francisco. It was in Oakland, CA and then later in Livermore, CA, that he started his dental practice and raised his family of 5 children. The family later moved to Orem, UT, where he practiced dentistry in Provo, and then later in Murray. He was happily married for 59 years to his loving wife, Shirley Stewart Robins. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Stewart Robins, his children, Serena Wixom (Clyde), Lamona Fullmer (Fred), Florece Noring (Rik), Richmond Robins (Heidi), Deirdre Rand. As well as 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his parents, brother, Roland K. Robins; sister, Maurine Robins Steed; grandchildren, Michael and Ashley Whittle. A viewing will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, 6pm-8pm, at Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 N. University Ave., Provo. Friends and family are invited to attend his graduation of life ceremony (funeral), March 4, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 500 S. 600 W., Orem, at 11am. There will be a viewing prior to the funeral at 10am. A graduation luncheon will be held at the same location after the services following the interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
