Obituary for Melissa-Dawn Lewis Melissa Dawn Lewis, 33, of Orem, Utah passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016. She was born November 10, 1983 to Jana and Bob Lewis. She graduated from Mountain View High School where she excelled in softball. She then went on to Snow College and UVSC with Scholarships in Women’s Softball. Growing up, Melissa was the catcher on an accelerated team called the MV Bruins. In softball, Melissa and her sister, Shannon were batterymates with Shannon pitching and Melissas catching. Melissa also had a close bond with her brother Sean, sharing sports activities and the same friends throughout her life. She loved people and had many friends. Her fun and contagious laugh could be heard anywhere people were having a good time. Melissa is survived by her son, Ace “Aceeboy” (who was her everything) and her parents, Bob and Jana, her sister Shannon, and brother Sean, her nieces Taylor and Tyler (whom she loved dearly) and Kelly Farrer. Aunts and Uncles are Sheron and Uncle Dennis Beckstrand, Fonita and Uncle Michael Fambrough (deceased); Cousins are Randy and Ande Beckstrand (children Todd, Chad Hannah and Jedediah); Lisa and Shaun Shurtliff (children: Carl, Stephanie, Brittany, Trevor, Joshua, Victoria; Travis and Ellen Beckstrand; Angela and Mark Nielsen (children Autumn, Tanner, Broc, Bret, Jakob); Jeff and Beth Fambrough (child, Piper; Kimberly and Scott Oakey (children, Joceyln and Michael); Amy and Sean Nagel (children, Claire and Parker). She was preceded in death by Grandparents, Philip and Dee Randolph and Grandpa Peter William Lewis, and Uncle Peter (Billy) William Lewis Jr. Famly and friends are invited to celebrate Melissa’s life and wonderful spirit on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Orem Park 8th Ward, 114 South 400 West, Orem, UT. There will be a viewing from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be at the Payson City Cemetery.
