It is with heartfelt sadness and love that we announce the passing of Matthew Brent Bowman on January 10, 2019. \n\nThe marvelous family that greeted Matt across the veil are his Grandparents, the late Melvin and Joy Bowman, Margaret and Dee Sparks along with his Grandpa Rex Eugene Nielsen. Matt’s father, Brent Rowland Bowman, passed away in 1991 and we cherish the wonderful reunion they had this week.\n\nMatt was born on December 10, 1971, to Cheryl Jean Nielsen and Brent Rowland Bowman. Matt leaves behind his mother; Cheryl Coleman, Step Parents; Lopeti and Diana Leka as well as Kelly Coleman and Jolene Bowman. Sisters Rachel (Darren) Smith, Kelsie (Doug) Davis, Half Brother Nicholas (Shelly) Bowman, Step Sister Stacy (Curtis) Towers and Step Brother Dana Thornton. Matt also has many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews that will miss his kind heart and sly humor. In addition to family, there are a great many special friends that stood by Matt during his too short life that will miss him greatly.\n\nMatt loved living in the fast lane most of his life. He loved fast cars and motorcycles. He took pride in restoring an old Ford F150 and treated it better than most treat family. Matt loved his favorite roommate Tippy (his cat), and could always be counted on for a giant bear hug welcome when you saw him. Matt was a hard worker and loved everyone that came into his circle of life. \n\nMatthew Brent Bowman will have a viewing at the Nelson Funeral Home on January 15, 2019 located at 4780 N. University Ave. Provo Utah, 84604 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. All Family and Friends are welcome to attend.\nMatt’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 11:00 AM with an additional viewing beginning at 10 AM prior to the main services at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Building located at 310 North 100 East, Orem Utah 84057.\n\nWe look forward to celebrating Matt’s life with all of you.
