Obituary for
Mary Louise Bowling (Meuse)

MARY “LOUISE” MEUSE BOWLING
Nov 5, 1921 – Nov 18, 2016

Louise peacefully passed away on Nov 18th at the age of 95. She was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, the daughter of Henry and Julia Meuse. She was raised in Malden, Massachusetts where she met James “Paul” Bowling who she married Aug 6, 1940. They lived in Massachusetts, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia, New Hampshire, and Oregon. Louise recently moved to Utah from Oregon with her daughter Paulette and her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Henry and Julia Meuse, her husband Paul (after 72 years of marriage), her brothers Nelson and Mel Meuse, her grandson Rick Bowling, and her great granddaughter Savannah Darrough.

She is survived by her brother “Bud” Meuse of Oxnard, California, her sister Lucille Moister of Malden, Massachusetts, her son Richard “Dick” Bowling (Emily) of Herndon, Virginia, her daughter Paulette Darrough (George) of Saratoga Springs, Utah, 6 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

Louise’s family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the staff at Churchill Estates in Eugene, Oregon, Bel Aire Senior Living in American Fork, Utah, the people at Brighton Home Health and Hospice, and Nelson Family Mortuary for their excellent care of Louise.

She was a wonderful wife, Mom, and homemaker and her children often came home to yummy after school snacks such as snickerdoodles or chocolate cake with a delicious butter frosting. Paul and Louise were a loving couple who never failed to hold hands or sneak a kiss. We will ever be grateful to Dad who took many movies of our family which we dearly treasure.

Louise has chosen to be cremated and at a later date she will be laid to rest at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, Massachusetts next to her husband Paul. She was loved by all her family and will be greatly missed.
