Heber City, Utah
After fighting way beyond expectations, Mark Finney, devoted husband, heroic brother, uncle, friend and mentor has reluctantly decided to move on.
Mark was born in Los Angeles to Jane and Bob Finney, and grew up in the City of Orange when it was cool. He spent his early years camping with his family and racing motocross. After graduating high school at El Modena, Mark went right to work in the printing business…where he eventually, and thankfully, met the love of his life and future wife, Cindy. Their shared love of hockey...more specifically, the LA Kings...was a continuous source of joy (especially in 2012 & 2014!). Mark also enjoyed skiing, Formula 1, shooting guns, listening to Frank Sinatra, and going to They Might Be Giants' concerts.
Mark and Cindy worked together for two-and-a-half decades before moving themselves and their beloved horse, Romeo, to Heber City, Utah in 2018. Just as before, the two worked for the same company and Mark continued to positively impact the lives of those around him.
Mark’s ability to connect with and inspire others to be the best version of themselves will continue to impact lives as those he touched honor his legacy by paying it forward. His vision of a “boring” life filled with family, friends, simple activities…but first and foremost, his dear wife…is an example for all of us to follow.
Mark earned the praise of his colleagues and friends, but was not at all interested in being praised. He took good care of his people. He will be greatly, greatly missed.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents Jane and Bob, his brother Darin, his best dog Lucky, favorite cat Davey, and Smoke, the horse. He leaves behind his wife Cindy, his brother and sister-in-law Todd and Jenny, his nieces Charissa, Ashley and Sofia, his nephew Jenson...and of course, Romeo.
We love you, Mark. See ya in a minute!
