Obituary for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Margaret LuRae Greenwood\n\n\r\n\t\t\t\tMargaret returned to her loving Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 20, 2018. She was surrounded by her family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.\n\nMargaret was born in Manti, Utah, just a few blocks from the Manti Temple. She was the oldest daughter of Jesse Ray Munk and Ruby Lucille McPherson Munk. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings throughout her life. She loved to sing, sew, cook, write poetry, knit, crochet, and always had a project or two going on.\n\nMargaret married Rex Boyd Greenwood on August 29th, 1943. Rex served in the Army/Airforce from 1943-1945. They are the proud parents of 5 children, 23 grandchildren, and 87 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Margaret (Karl) Blake, Annalee Wood, Rex (Verna) Greenwood, Robin (Brent) Norton, Lynn (Kristin) Greenwood, a sister, Mary Louise Sorenson, and a brother, Lyle Munk. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Boyd Greenwood, a son-in-law, Don Wood, her brothers, Mack Munk and David Munk, and a brother-in-law, Neil Sorenson.\n\nServices will be held on Tuesday, November 27th at 11:00 A.M. at the Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 N. University Avenue, Provo, Utah. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 A.M. The interment will be in the Orem City Cemetery, Orem, Utah. Our family wants to thank the great staff at Jamestown Assisted Living and One Care Hospice for their tender care of our mother.
