Obituary for \r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t Lucy Beth Stewart (Keller)\n\n\r\n\t\t\t\tLucy Beth Keller Stewart passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 after a 3-year battle with cancer. She was born November 10, 1950, in Boulder City, Nevada as the second child of Frederick Conrad (Con) and Carol Beth Smyth Keller.\nGrowing up in Page, Arizona, she learned from her parents the importance of hard work, accountability, integrity, respect for others, diligence, patience, and kindness, which she applied throughout her life and taught to her children. She had many fond childhood memories of spending time with her parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins at Fish Lake in Utah, and at her ancestral town of Manti, Utah.\nEveryone knew her for her “mother heart;” Lucy loved people and reached out with compassion in her relationships. She always looked for the good in others and remained optimistic, encouraging them to reach their potential. She faced trials with courage, optimism, incredible strength, and endurance, helping others do the same.\nLucy appreciated the influence good music, playing the organ at church for many years, participating in church choirs, playing the piano at home, and encouraging her children to develop musical talents.\nLucy loved learning and taught this love to her children. She attended Brigham Young University where she studied elementary education. While at BYU, she married David Grant Stewart, Sr. in 1972, with whom she had 13 children.\nThrough her selfless service and devotion to others, Lucy served faithfully in various callings throughout her life as an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also participated as a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, sharing inspiring stories with others.\nLucy was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Verona Keller. She is survived by her husband David, siblings Lewis (& Pat) Keller, David (& Susan) Keller, Anita Keller, and Fred Keller; children David Jr (& Anastasia) Stewart, Ben (& Amy) Stewart, Aaron Stewart, Lucy Rae (& JohnPaul) Abbott, Robert (& Jenny) Stewart, Stanford Stewart, Kathryn Lowry, Seth (& Brigitte) Stewart, Edison Stewart, Enoch Stewart, Sarah Beth Stewart, Eliza Stewart, and Ezra Stewart; and 16 grandchildren.
