Kristina Marie Bolden Gilham, age 51, passed away on April 24, 2022, in Provo, Utah, surrounded by her family. \n\nKristina was born on July 20, 1970, in Grants Pass, Oregon, to Skip and Betty Bolden. Kris, as she was known to family and friends, was a sweet, well-mannered child who loved those around her, including her adored cat Mow Mow. \n\nAt the age of 12, Kris experienced kidney failure. She endured more than 30 years of ongoing surgeries and treatments related to the condition, which took a physical and mental toll on her. Despite being in chronic pain, Kris tried to keep a positive outlook on life and did her best to carry on. \n\nKristina's younger sister, Heather, was a lifelong friend. They both grew up in California and Kris graduated from Silver Creek High School in San Jose. Following their parents' divorce, Kris and Heather moved to Utah with their mother. \n\nKris loved living near the Wasatch Mountains and especially enjoyed the Alpine Loop located in American Fork Canyon. She enjoyed cooking and watching movies. She loved flowers of any kind and her favorite color was light blue. \n\nKris was a ray of sunshine to all she met and was loved by everyone who knew her. She will be remembered most for her kind heart and concern for others. She loved her family deeply, and had a special place in her heart for her nephew, Bolden, and her niece, Harper, whom she loved fiercely. \n\nKris is survived by her mother, Betty Street (Ron); her sister, Heather (Dillon); her niece, Jessica; nephews, Bubba and Seth; and her aunt, Barbara. She is preceded in death by her father, Skip. \n\nThe fmaily wishes to thanks Kris' visiting teacher, Andrea Larson.
