Kenneth Teofilo Urianza

–

Provo, Utah

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth Teofilo Urianza.

Ken, or Kenny, was a beacon of strength and endurance during these final years of his life as he valiantly battled chronic illness, eventually completing his mortal journey on August 2, 2024.

Kenneth was full of patience and energy, and had a deep acceptance of others. His enthusiasm for life kept him very active. He was an avid golfer, competitive sand volleyball player, body builder and all-around athlete, filling his time with recreational sports and other hobbies. Kenneth was an auto mechanic by profession. He enjoyed cars and helping others, even advising on small repairs when his body would no longer allow him to do the work. He accredited his work ethic to his father and tenacity to his mother. He cherished his family and often shared stories about his childhood with those around him. Kenneth loved being a father, especially during his children's early years, and always wanted them to know how much he loved them.

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kenneth had a strong testimony of the atonement and the Plan of Salvation. He was married, and later sealed to "his angel", Juliana Urianza, with whom he recently celebrated their 19th year of marriage.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Juliana Urianza; mother, Eva Gallego Urianza; siblings, Roxanna Urianza, James (Junior) Urianza, Chris Urianza, Andrea Urianza; and children from his prior marriage, Faith Kelly, Kenneth (Kenny) Urianza, Laya Newell, Amber Child, Fawn Nuttall and Joshua Urianza, as well as their respective families. He is preceded in death by his father James Urianza, brother-in-law, Andrew L. Smith and niece, Heather Urianza.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Kenneth's life. Family and friends will be received at a viewing held Monday, August 12th, 2024 from 9:30am - 10:30am with Funeral Services following at 11:00am at the Hillside Chapel, 1960 North 1500 East, Provo, Utah, 84604. Kenneth will be interred at the Randolph City Cemetery, 305 Canyon St, Randolph, Utah 84064. A graveside dedication will begin at 3:00pm for those who would like to attend.

As we honor the life of Kenneth Teofilo Urianza, we encourage everyone to keep his spirit alive by sharing memories and uploading photos to his memorial page.
