Jasen Petersen

–

Spanish Fork, Utah

Jasen Richard Petersen, known with affection by those who love him as Jasen, was a man who carried a song in his heart and a passion for life that was contagious. Born on the 22nd of March, 1978, in San Dimas, CA, USA, Jasen's journey through life was one marked by dedication, creativity, and an unwavering love for his Savior Jesus Christ.
Jasen was not just a man of incredible talent; he was a man of faith. A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he lived his faith every day, not just in words but in actions. His love for Christ was evident in the way he loved and served those around him. He was a talented guitar player and singer, a lover of country music and a purveyor of quirky jokes. His passion for AI, creating coin rings, and cyber security was only surpassed by his love for his Savior, family, and his schnauzer puppies. His interest in creative cooking, all things spicy, and his holistic adventures enlightened us all and kept us on the edge of our seats.

Jasen is survived by his loving spouse, Gissel and his stepdaughter Stacy. His siblings, Shon Petersen (Shannon), Brook Hardy (Scott), Kerri Larsen (Ryan), Kristi Fain (Evan) and KC Cowles (Brookie). He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Petersen, and his mother, Jodi Petersen. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith that will forever be remembered.

We know during this difficult time, our Heavenly Father is aware of our needs and will provide comfort and peace during this difficult time. Our family treasures the scripture that reads, “And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up.” (D&C 84:88)
Let us remember and celebrate Jasen's life with joy and gratitude for the love and light he brought into our lives.
