Sunday morning, December 27,2020, Holly Jane Fairclough Hirschi succumbed to a long battle with a rare lung disease called pulmonary hypertension. She passed away peacefully with her husband, children and parents by her side. \n\nHolly was born December 26, 1972, in San Jose, CA to Dennis Albert and Marilyn Despain Fairclough. She is the youngest of five daughters. \n\nHer family moved from California to Orem, Utah in 1975 where Holly graduated from Orem High School in 1991. She graduated from Utah Valley University in 1995 with an Associate Degree as a Medical Secretary.\n\nOn March 16, 1996, Holly was sealed to Michael James Hirschi in the Salt Lake City Temple. Diagnosed with lupus at the age of 17 Holly was told that she wouldn’t be able to have children, yet she was blessed with two beautiful children, Rylee Nicole and Tyler James.They made their home in Pleasant Grove, Utah. \n\nShe worked as a secretary at Revere Health Family Medicine, and later as a veterinary tech at Timpanogos Animal Hospital.\n\nHolly was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed the time she served as a temple worker in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple.\n\nHolly was a loving mother and her greatest joy in life were her children. She loved spending time with her husband, children, and extended family. Holly had a sweet, compassionate heart and cared deeply about her family. This caring also extended to animals, especially dogs and horses. She had a fun sense of humor and a cheerful laugh. \n\nHer hobbies included reading, watching movies, and while her health allowed, crocheting, and riding horses. \n\nHolly is survived by her husband Michael James Hirschi, daughter Rylee Nicole Hirschi (20), son Tyler James Hirschi (16); parents Dennis Albert and Marilyn Despain Fairclough; sisters Pamela Wilson, Christi Jardine, Lisa Tebbs and Kari Thomas. \n\nShe had a testimony of the Savior and His Atoning power in her life. Her testimony was an anchor to her through her many difficult health issues. In November of 2020, Holly wrote about her love of the Savior,“Today I am so grateful for the love and grace of my Savior. I know that when my load is too heavy He will pick up the rest. He is carrying me today. I am so grateful for my trials so that I can become close to my Savior and I am grateful for what I learn from my trials”.
