Hilary Jan Marshall

–

Springville, Utah

Our sweet Hilary Jan Marshall passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with cancer. She was 42 years old.

Hilary was born on November 17, 1983, in North Platte, Nebraska, to Kim and Laurie Marshall. She joined her older brothers, Blair and Wayne, and older sister, Amber, and thoroughly enjoyed being the baby of the family until her baby sister and lifelong best friend, Cassie, was born six years later.

Hilary grew up in a home filled with love, laughter, and close family bonds. She had a gentle, caring heart and a gift for making everyone feel welcome. Her genuine kindness and warm smile allowed her to make friends wherever life took her, and those who knew her will remember her for her compassion, thoughtfulness, and unwavering love for others.

She graduated from North Platte High School in 2002, where she was involved in several clubs, played in the orchestra, and was honored to be crowned Prom Queen by her fellow senior classmates. Hilary continued her education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, earning a Bachelor of Science in Public Health in 2006.

While still a student at BYU, Hilary began working for Nu Skin Enterprises in Provo. What started as a college job grew into a rewarding 22-year career, where she most recently served as a Program Manager. She was respected by her colleagues for her dedication, professionalism, and willingness to help others succeed.

Outside of work, Hilary found joy in life's simple pleasures. She had a deep love for music, books, and movies and was always eager to share a favorite song, recommend a good book, or enjoy a classic film with those she loved. Another of her greatest joys was traveling with friends and family. A true foodie at heart, she believed that some of life’s best memories were made around the table. She eagerly sought out local restaurants, family recipes, and authentic dishes, always excited to try something new. Hilary had a special talent for creating beauty wherever she went, whether tending to her flowers and garden, making beautiful flower arrangements for those she loved or simply making others feel cared for through thoughtful acts of kindness.

More than anything, Hilary treasured her family. She was a devoted daughter, a loving sister, and an extraordinary aunt. Her nieces and nephews adored her, and she delighted in celebrating their accomplishments, attending their activities, creating special memories, and making each one feel uniquely loved. Being "Aunt Hilary" was one of the greatest joys of her life, and the love she poured into her family will continue to be felt for generations.

Hilary is survived by her parents, Kim and Laurie Marshall; her brothers, Blair (Melissa) Marshall and Wayne (Abbey) Marshall; her sisters, Amber (Eric) Fisher and Cassie (Ray) Marshall; and her grandmother, Janice Carter Roberts. She is also lovingly remembered by her twelve nieces and nephews: Payton, Bailey, Taft, Tanna, Koda, Cash, Ty, William, Caitlyn, Penelope, Paige, and James, along with many extended family members, dear friends, and coworkers who will forever cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Newell Taft Marshall, Theo Davis Marshall and Charles Gordon Roberts.

Hilary's life was a beautiful example of kindness, grace, and quiet strength. Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave so freely and the countless lives she touched will remain a lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
