Harold Brent Burnham was born on the 31st of March, 1945 in Farmington, New Mexico. He passed on Thursday October 5th peacefully at home with loved ones, from prostate cancer. A charismatic and fun loving individual with a supportive heart, Harold had an infectious energy, always ready to lighten the hearts of those around him. He carried a unique radiance that had the power to turn strangers into friends within moments. Harold was a man of intelligence, whose sharp wit and wisdom were apparent in his many accomplishments throughout his life.\n\nHarold’s life journey took him and his family to places far and wide, to Louisiana, California, Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Texas, Calgary Canada and Utah, where he resided for the past 18 years. His career as an executive in the power generation industry was marked with significant achievements, and world travel which emanate from his time at Shell, Exon, GE, Duke, Mercury, Amec, Power Systems, CRSS, Ecolaire, Prowler and Synenco until his retirement in 2008. Harold was a natural storyteller, his stories were the highlight of any gathering - skunk tales, trading post stories on the Navajo reservation, quarter horse races, meeting heads of state and celebrities, Harold had a story from every part of the globe on any topic. \n\nA devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Harold's faith was a cornerstone of his life. He found great joy in his callings related to missionary work and was known for his unwavering dedication to his church. His commitment to his faith is best embodied in the scriptures, particularly in Doctrine and Covenants 4:2, which states, "Therefore, O ye that embark in the service of God, see that ye serve him with all your heart, might, mind, and strength, that ye may stand blameless before God at the last day."\n\nHarold is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Joyce Burnham, his children Rafer (Maria) Burnham, Bob Burnham, Holly (Ryan) Brock, Christy (Christopher) Cook, Heidi (Kamron) Kennington, and Wendy (Ben) Jensen, his siblings Gail (Marvin) James, Bruce (Virginia) Burnham, Jeff (Elvira) Burnham, Debbie (Bob) Moss. His legacy also lives on in his 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Phyllis Burnham, and his brother-in-law, Marvin James.\n\nA visitation will be held on Wednesday evening Oct 11th from 6-8PM, and again Thursday, the 12th of October, 2023 at 9:00 AM at the Sunset Hills 2nd Ward meeting house (1152 N 400 W, American Fork, UT) followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM held at the same location. The graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM at the Paradise Cemetery, in Paradise Utah. We invite everyone who knew Harold to join us in celebrating his life.
