Gary Rex Davis

In loving memory of Gary Rex Davis, a cherished husband, father, brother, and grandpa, who passed away on January 25, 2024, in Mesquite, Nevada. Gary was born on February 14, 1946, in Heber City, to his parents Rex J. Davis and Gig Henley. He graduated from Wasatch High School in 1964 before bravely serving two tours in Vietnam with the Navy. Following his service, Gary worked as a project manager in Area 51 at the Nevada Test Site.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Shane J. Davis. He is survived by his devoted wife Susan Davis, his sons Gary W. Davis, Steven J. Davis, and Brandon J. Davis, his sister Peggy (Terry) Roy, and his brother Tom Davis. Gary will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Maddison, Rex, Makinleigh, Aubrey, and Jenna, as well as his great-grandchildren Grayson Shane and Princeton T. Flippo.

In accordance with Gary's wishes, a flag presentation will be conducted by the Navy Honor Guard to honor his service. The dedication of his grave will be performed by his cousin Ace Davis. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 8, at 1 p.m. at the Midway Cemetery.

Gary's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Though we mourn his loss now, we find solace in the belief that we will meet again one day. Rest in peace, Gary, knowing that you are loved for eternity.
