She met Kenneth William Brereton at Lincoln High School and married him after World War II. They were sealed in the Mount Timpanogas Temple in 2003.
Ken and Evelyn made their home in Provo close to the Lavell Edwards Stadium because of their love for BYU Football. They had many happy times going to all of the football games here and abroad. Evelyn loved planting flower gardens, sewing, golfing and playing a mean game of bridge. She belonged to the same bridge club for over 70 years with many of her high school friends who have all gone on before her.
