Eloise Beckstead Stokes was born January 21, 1921 to Percy Norman Beckstead and Leona Celinda Hutchings in Twin Falls, Idaho. She passed peacefully December 29, 2020 at Barton Creek Assisted Living in Bountiful, Utah. \nShe was preceded in death by her eternal companion, Eldon Packer Stokes; their son, John Robert Stokes (Denise Green, living); daughter in law, Lillie Salazar; son in law, Mark Charles Setlow; grandson, Mark Gregory Setlow; and second husband, Frank Kearns. \nShe is survived by her children Shawna Setlow (Edward Adams); Larry Eldon Stokes (LouAnn Merrill); Ann Egbert (David Egbert); Ranae Miner (Lance Miner); Teresa Robinson (Ray Robinson) and Eloise’s present husband, Harold Giles, as well as 37 grandchildren, 139 great-grandchildren, and 56 great-great grandchildren.\nEloise was a life-long learner. She loved reading and shared that love of reading with her children. As her eye-sight worsened she listened to everything she could learn from. She was a model, home-designer, and a very creative woman in all aspects of her life. She loved her friends and family, and was always ready for the next visitor. \nShe served in all women’s organizations within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and was a dance director with Eldon in her earlier years. She was also a temple worker and served a mission for the church in Birmingham, England.\nThere will be a graveside service at the Sunset Memorial Park in Twin Falls, Idaho on January 6, 2021 at 10 am. Due to COVID-19 there will not be a funeral service at this time.\nIn lieu of flowers, feel free to donate to the missionary fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
