Edmond Touchette

–

Payson, Utah

Edmond Rene Touchette, known affectionately as "Skipper," was a beacon of unending love and joy, a steady source of laughter, and a steadfast pillar of support. Born on April 30, 1957, in Willimantic, Connecticut, Edmond's journey through life was a testament to his thoughtful and loving character. His life was a tapestry of beautiful moments, woven together by his love for his family and friends.

Edmond's love story with the city of provo, Utah, began 28 years ago. Here, he built a life filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. As a loving brother and a doting uncle, he was the heart of his family and a loyal friend who could always be counted on. When he wasn't lighting up the room with his infectious laughter or lending a supportive hand, he was making indelible memories with his nieces and nephews, whom he adored. Indeed, as Henri Nouwen once said, "When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand." This quote perfectly encapsulates Edmond's spirit.

Following a fulfilling career, Edmond embraced the joys of retirement in 2022, further immersing himself in the company of his loved ones. His unwavering optimism was a testament to his resilience. He faced life's challenges with a smile, a trait that endeared him to everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. He is survived by his sisters Patricia Delnicki and Deborah Linton, and his brother-in-law, Kenneth Delnicki. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Edmond's life was marked by the loving influence of his late wife April and parents, Edmond Sr. and Barbara Touchette. Edmond also leaves behind his very special friend Mark Anderson.

As we remember Edmond, let us celebrate his life and the happiness he spread with every loving act, every thoughtful gesture, and every humorous anecdote. The world is a little less bright without him, but his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him. We invite you to share your memories of Edmond and upload photos to his memorial page. Through our collective recollections, his spirit will continue to touch our lives in the ways he always did.
