Dorrine Head (Kesler) Obituary (1933

Obituary for Dorrine Head (Kesler) Dorrine Kesler Head, age 84, passed away on June 4, 2018 in Springville of causes incident to age. Precious daughter born on October 14, 1933 to Orson E and Helen A Kesler. Raised in Midvale, Utah and graduated from Jordan High School. She attended both BYU and LDS Business College. Her love of playing the piano began while privately studying in Salt Lake City and continued throughout her life studying in both San Jose and Los Gatos, California. Her love of the piano is what led her to the love of her life, her husband N. Lawrence Head, whom she married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on June 9, 1955. Theirs is a love story for the ages, and she had many adventures while holding the hand of her beloved. They moved to Northern California where they had seven children and were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held many church leadership positions throughout her life as well as playing as organist and pianist for over 50 years. Her powerful testimony of Christ and his teachings carried her through all the days of her life. She had a love for art and all beautiful things and studied painting. She painted numerous pictures for family and friends, many of which were of the Savior. Some of her paintings are located in mission homes. Upon retirement, she and her husband served a mission to the England, Birmingham mission which they profoundly loved. To this day, they continue to have friends, whom they consider family, visit from England and she looked forward to each visit. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, N. Lawrence Head; children Miralee Hartley (Larry), Scott Head (Kim), Mark Head and Alicia Head; her beloved grandchildren Jerilyn Hartley, James Hartley, Ashlee Poulter (Brandon) and Aubree Langford (Chase) and great grandchild Kayson Poulter. She is survived by one brother Orson P. Kesler (Claudia) whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her precious Kitty. 3 children preceded her in death, Jerilyn, Laurine and David. Her family was her heart, her love was endless and her faith knew no end. What a joyous reunion she is having with those that have gone before. We miss you already, but know you are preparing a way for us. We love you. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Springville LDS 7th Ward, 1785 East 400 South, Springville, UT. A viewing will be held on Friday, June 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 N. University Avenue, Provo and on Saturday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services at the church.
