Donnie Gale Vinson, loving husband, father and grandfather, age 75, of Springville, Utah, passed away in his home on April 10, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.\n\nDon was born January 31, 1947 in Burbank, California to Vernon and Myrl Vinson. Don was drafted and served in Vietnam from 1966-1968. After his discharge from the army, he attended BYU where he met and married the love of his life, Kathy. They eventually settled in Springville where they raised seven beautiful children.\n\nDon loved bowling when he was young and he continued to love bowling through the years. When he came to BYU, he was on the team where he bowled a tournament record 761 series that stood for more than 20 years. After BYU, he was the owner/operator of Art City Lanes. He continued developing his skills and rolled several 300 games and went on to be a pro for a short time. Raising a family was more important to him. He was a great bowler, but was an even better father.\n\nDon worked hard during the week, and as such he developed into an avid outdoorsman on the weekends, who enjoyed fly fishing, archery hunting, as well as many other outdoor activities including growing and maintaining a beautiful yard with many flower gardens and a vegetable garden. He loved refreshing his soul in the quiet Utah mountains.\n\nDon was proceeded in death by his parents and his brothers. He is survived by his wife, Kathy, children: Jennifer (Mark), Randy, Joel (Lisha), Michael, Jesse (Kimberly), Victoria, (Andres), David (Breanne), 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.\n\nWe will miss you Don! We know you are happy. We will continue to enjoy the love of the outdoors that you installed in us and share that with future generations.\n\nFuneral services will be held at the Dalton Drive Church building, (2557 Dalton Dr, Springville, Utah) at 11:00 am, on April 16, 2022.
