Dories Eunice Cadwallader

Our dear mother silently slipped away on a wintery day on December 28, 2022, just past noon at the age of 93 years. Those years were filled with service to her family, friends, church, and community. The word stranger meant nothing to her. She loved people and talked to everyone. As her sister Donetta recently said, "She let her light shine on everyone." She was a born leader, organizer, and influencer. She was an artist and had a flare with color demonstrated by how she decorated her home and in her manner of dress. She was creative in her parenting style, a visionary in how she led, and always gave 110% in whatever she was asked to do. She had a lot of spunk and was a known tease. Her passing is bittersweet. We are sad she is gone but happy she is out of pain and no longer worried about earthly things.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dale LeRoy Cadwallader; her parents, Wallen and Gertrude Christensen; and two sisters, El NIta Watts and Thora Ottley.

She is survived by her four children: Dale (Leeanne) Cadwallader, Pamela (Ray) Nelson, John (Barbara) Cadwallader, and Brenda (Ray) Daurelle. She was known as GiGi by her 15 grandchildren: Todd, Brooke, Ryan, and Jamie Cadwallader; Jennifer, Rebecca, Angela, and Jonathan Nelson; Katie, Elizabeth, Mark, and Rachel Cadwallader; and Brian, Collin, and Aaron Daurelle; and 27 great-grandchildren. She is survived by four siblings: Donetta Reid, Maynard Christensen, Barbara Sanderson, and Terry Christensen.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Nelson Family Mortuary located at 4780 North University Avenue, Provo, Utah, with a viewing between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
