He married Harvalene Kaleoaloha Latu on April 20, 1991 in Los Angeles, California. \n\nDean William Sekona graduated from Liahona High School Prep – Havelu Campus, and attended Brigham Young University in Provo and Hawaii. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and valued family, education and service. He will be remembered for his love of life, family, God and country.\n\nDean William Sekona is preceded in death by his daughter – Mokiana, father – Palauni, and brothers – Manitisa, ‘Ulu. \n\nDean William Sekona is survived by his wife, Harvalene; son – Dean Jr. and Latai; daughters – Nanasi, Helen, Kelela; mother – Kelela; brothers and sisters – Siua, Mokiana, Selupe, Emeli, Margaret, Esther, Brown Jr., Puanani, Lusakava, Ofa, Polovina, and Nariva.
