Obituary for Cherilyn Renee Hawk On Saturday, July 22, 2017 an amazing woman, Cherilyn Hawk, was freed from the bonds of a failing body in Spanish Fork, UT. She is now with our Heavenly Father. She was born on September 27, 1953 in Santa Barbara, California to Corbin Roche Pomeroy and Mary Jane Woodfill Pomeroy. She attended schools in Santa Barbara and Goleta, CA. In 1971 she met the love of her life Dennis Hawk. A few months later she was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She and Dennis were married on Nov 25, 1972 in the Los Angeles Temple. She was the mother of four sons; Dwayne, Jeremy, Clinton and Nathaniel. Together they conspired to give her 13 grandchildren. After the boys were all going to school she started working. She then went to Eton Technical College and became a Dental Assistant. She worked hard and became Office Manager. After 12 years she left and went to Oregon to take care of her ailing parents until they died. During their 44+ years together Dennis and Cheri lived in Santa Barbara, CA, Cloverdale, CA, Virginia Beach, VA, Honolulu,HI, Charleston, SC, Bremerton, WA, Central Point, OR, Layton ,UT, Uinta, UT, Provo, UT, and Goshen, UT. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Hawk, sons Dwayne, Jeremy, Clinton and Nathaniel Hawk, brother Corbin Pomeroy, 13 grandchildren. Funeral services are Friday, July 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Nelson Family Mortuary on 4780 N University Ave, Provo, UT with interment at the state VA cemetery in Bluffdale, UT following.
