–

Murfreesboro, TN

Charlene Hollingshead, long time resident of Orem, UT passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in Flower Mound, TX on July 19th, 2026. She was preceded in death by Allen Hollingshead (husband), Genece Jensen (mother) and Jay Jensen (brother).

Charlene is survived by: her sisters Pam Stoddard, Nina Rowe, her children: Kevin Hollingshead (Sarah), Steven Hollingshead (Vicki), Julie Olpin (Rod), Kristi David (Ameri), Jennie Maughan (Travis), and Katie Meek (Ben). As well as 21 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Charlene was born in Bicknell, UT August 21st, 1949. Although Charlene's youngest years were spent in Southern Utah, she spent the majority of her childhood in Southern California where she met and married her eternal companion Allen Hollingshead, with whom she spent many years working side by side to build several successful businesses. Charlene was known for her hard work ethic and played a central role in the success of all of their enterprises.

Charlene was well known for her quick infectious laugh and big smile. She loved to laugh and could find humor in any situation. She was a talented cook and baker and was able to whip together entire meals without so much as a recipe card, which was always much appreciated by those who ate at her table.

Charlene’s happiest memories were made when she was surrounded by those she loved. One of her favorite things to do was to catch up with friends she had known throughout her life. You would never have a more loyal friend and advocate than Charlene.

Charlene loved a good card game and her competitive nature kept the games lively and engaging. Many memories were made at her table with meals, cards, laughter and conversation.

She liked to travel, but was really a homebody at heart. In quiet moments she could be found reading books and was always curious about the world around her, often researching topics she wanted to know more about. She was always learning and asking questions.

Charlene always rose to meet every trial with which she was presented with humor and determination. Her resiliency and cheerfulness throughout life's trials were an inspiration to all who knew her.

She will be greatly missed.
