Bruce Fountain

Bruce Lyle Fountain, age 71, passed away on July 5, 2026.
Born on September 20, 1954, in Albany, Oregon, to Sheridan and Betty Fountain, Bruce grew up loving the beauty and spirit of Oregon, a place that always held a special place in his heart.

At the age of 18, he joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, a decision that shaped the course of his life including serving a mission for the Church in Paris, France. He later graduated from Brigham Young University. He spent his life serving many callings in the church including as a counselor in a BYU Young Singles Ward, Elders Quorum President and as a Stake Sunday School President.

Bruce proudly served in the United States Navy. As a young man, he was active in the Boy Scouts and later shared his time and experience as a Scout leader.

Bruce built a career as a financial professional, helping others navigate important decisions throughout his working life. He had a deep appreciation for music and especially enjoyed reading about history, always eager to learn something new.

Bruce is survived by his children, Erik (Yvette), Torrey (Jason), Joslyn (Kolby), and Darlee; his grandchildren, Gavin, Charlotte, Felicity, Ariana, and Harmony; and his siblings, Donna (Dan), Trish (Gary), and Doug (JoEllyn).

Bruce's life was one of many experiences, relationships, and contributions. May those who knew him find comfort in the memories they shared and in the lasting impact of his life.

A graveside service will be held to honor him at 11am on July 17, 2026 at the Orem City Cemetery.
