Ana R. Breton
(1954 - 2025)
Ana R. Breton passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, surrounded by her family, who loves her deeply. Ana was an extremely dedicated mother, loving daughter, protective sister, eternal friend, excellent advice-giver (just ask her nieces & nephews,) an extraordinary companion, the love of Alejandro's life and the most precious "Bueli" in the world. Her ability to go shopping for her grandchildren was unmatched.
Ana lived a full and fierce life. She was born on May 5, 1954 in Mexico City, Mexico, the youngest daughter of a flamenco teacher and a professional soccer player. Her love for the arts and sports began at an early age.
After graduating from El Instituto Pedagógico Anglo Español, she attended the National University of Mexico (UNAM,) where she found her passion for design and architecture. She played on the volleyball teams at both schools, achieving international status on the Mexican National Team and her beloved university, UNAM. She was even invited to participate in the University All Star Team in the United States and competed in over 30 countries, earning countless accolades throughout her athletic career. Her fierce competitive spirit lives on in her children and grandchildren, without a doubt.
Although her husband Alejandro also studied architecture at UNAM, they didn’t meet until they coincidentally worked together at the space planning department at the National Bank of Mexico. On their very first date, Alejando proposed and she accepted. They were married three months later.
Together, Alejandro and Ana built a life filled with adventure, love, and purpose - growing a business side by side (AB Diseño), exploring the world hand in hand, and raising a beautiful family. Their marriage of over 40 years was a testament to the deep devotion they have for each other.
They had two kids, Alejandro and Ana Valeria, who in turn blessed them with two of the kindest, sweetest, and happiest grandchildren - a true reflection of their “Bueli.” Alejandro gave her “Alexito,” and Ana Valeria and her husband Nick gave her Elena.
Ana poured her whole heart into her family every single day, giving them a life full of love, joyful memories, and the best meals in the world. She loved to cook, craft, paint, make pottery, and spend time in her garden. Gardening - her passion - allowed her spiritual relaxation by enjoying nature and her beloved birds that visited her every year.
For Alejandro, Ana was his whole world. For both of them, their children and grandchildren were their entire lives. Their children and grandchildren will miss their “Bueli” every single day. But they know that all the love she gave to them will live within them forever.
We encourage you to leave a memory of your time with Ana.
