Aiden Matthew Ashman passed away peacefully in his mother's arms on October 23, 2019 at the neonatal intensive care unit at Riley Hospital, in Indianapolis, Indiana, due to complications associated with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia, and premature birth. Aiden was born 7 weeks early, on September 29, 2019, in Ft Wayne Indiana at Parkview Regional Hospital, and was transported by life flight to Riley Hospital two days later. He was well loved in his short three and a half weeks of life by his mother Lisa, father Alan, and older brother Ethan, his grandparents Matthew and Maureen Bushman and Kent and Mary Ashman, his great grandparents Grant and Maxine Weight, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends of the family. \nThough Aiden did not live long, his parents knew from the beginning that he had a strong and sweet spirit, and they feel very blessed that they got to spend any amount of time with him on this earth. They find comfort in knowing that he is now in the arms of his Heavenly Father, and with relatives that have passed on, and that they will be reunited with him again in the next life. They know Aiden is a valiant spirit and has much good to do on the other side. \nAiden's parents wish to thank the many Doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, and many other staff members at both Parkview Hospital and Riley Hospital who participated in Aiden's care. They felt that he recieved the best possible care, and that he was well loved by those who worked with him. They also wish to thank the many friends and family members who reached out and sent gifts, words of comfort, and offered prayers on their and Aiden's behalf. They feel so blessed to have so many great people as a part of their lives. \nAiden's body will be laid to rest in the Provo City Cemetery as a part of the angel garden for infants on Oct 28th, 2019, preceded by an intimate funeral service with family at Nelson Family Mortuary in Provo.
