Obituary for Ross Taylor

Ross Taylor
Ross LeRoy Taylor, age 58, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2017, at his home in Midvale, Utah.
He was born August 5, 1959 in St. Helens, Oregon to Ralph “W” and Retta Elaine Hill Taylor.
In 1977 he graduated from Chandler High School in Chandler, AZ.

He spent many years as a Security Officer for Pinkerton at Intel Corp in Chandler, AZ. At the time of his passing, he was working at SNUGZUSA in West Jordan, UT. He enjoyed working there with many friends and alongside his niece Melissa.

He enjoyed going to the races; whether it be the Trailers, Jet Car Drags, or NASCAR. He was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. He loved Arizona Cardinals Football and Phoenix Suns Basketball. He liked going to the Salt Lake Bees games with family and friends. He appreciated the times spent with his brother Wendell at wrestling matches and Sunday dinners with his brother Don.

Even though he did not carry a gun or hunt, he loved the mountains and went on many hunting and camping trips with his family. If he wasn’t home, chances are you’d find him up Diamond Fork at the “Ranch”. Bowling and crossword puzzles were some of his favorite pastimes.

He loved going to Family Reunions and being with family. He liked the fact that he shared a birthday with his Aunt Eva and the two of them would joke and prank each other every year!

He was a people person and enjoyed helping and serving others. He spent many years caring for his mother. He loved making people laugh and putting smiles on their faces.

He is survived by his siblings: Don (Marion) Taylor, Springville, UT; Wendell (Merlene) Taylor, Kearns, UT; Bonnie (Fred) Young, Boardman, OR; Ricky (Lori) Taylor, West Jordan, UT; Lyle Taylor, Pendleton, OR; Clay (Shiree) Taylor, Vernal, UT. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Janet Taylor and Julie Taylor Steele Hensen.

We love and miss you, LeRoy. You have left a hole in hearts and in our family that will never be filled.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Nelson Family Mortuary, 4780 N. University Avenue, Provo, UT. There will be a visitation from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. To express condolences visit
